Over the past five years, Perteet has assisted the City of North Bend with floodplain management support. Tasks have included: review of floodplain development permit applications and elevation certificates; developing a Puget Sound BiOp review process; completing two updates of the City’s floodplain ordinance with staff reports and staff presentations for the Planning Commission and City Council; and revising the floodplain development permit application. Perteet also supported the City during two Community Rating System verification visits, including direct communication with ISO and preparation or oversight of all documentation required for the program, including maps, city code references, outreach materials, and plans.
